  After reading some of the reviews I was a little bit hesitate to stay at this property but now I know if I am in Sarnia where I am staying -Versatile Inn hotel. When I called Gentleman at the desk was extremely helpful. Also, rooms were very nice and tidy. Housekeeping staff is good. I would Strongly recommend to stay here.

  Staff very friendly and accommodating. For an overnight stay it was comfortable. Bedding a little unkempt. Some room amemities wete not standard - iron & board; closet; small table or chair. These are not standard as the rooms are not as spacious: otherwise comfortable.

  Had stayed here at the versatile inn about 4 months ago and the room was oook for the price, came back into town for business just recently and not wanting to spend way more of a premium on holiday inn decided to stick with the versatile inn and oh boy what a difference under 4 months the hotel went through a renovation I think and new owners, it’s like going home the new owner (Aman) and his employees treat you like family and the newly renovated rooms rival the holiday inn if not better more comfortable than the holiday inn best value in my opinion definitely recommend this place best value in Sarnia.

  Staff is very truly nice. That's the end of the pros, lol. The reality is we booked via booking dot com and got a room for $80/night, but what you get is an "economy room", so it's from the 1970s and did not match the pictures online. We were offered a renovated room upon arrival (bait & switch?) for $100. We viewed the room, but the renovation seemed limited to the bathroom. Didn't look like a pro job either. Anyway, we stuck with the original room. Hallway did not smell good. Room is very small and had cinder block walls. Hot water was only truly hot during last few hours of stay. Lock on our door was compromised somewhat, but still kind of worked. Smoke detector hung down from the ceiling. And the TV didn't work except for A&E (front desk couldn't help out either), but thank god the internet was OK. Beds were not great, but good enough (2 double room). The thing that bothers me the most are the owners comments on google claiming "extensive renovations", I find that to be very misleading, and certain not indicative of the current state (Jan 2018) of the property. Anyway, I know this sounds like I'm picking on them, but ppl should know what they're getting for $75-$80.
